Changeover Time

I haven't posted for a while which is remiss of me, but AI seemed to take over a lot creating posts for me !!
I'm always worried about April as i view it as the "Changeover" month where trainers bring out a few hidden horses.
The flat tends to be horses primed for an opening salvo to get a few wins under the belt whilst National hunt the grounds a bit better and suddenly there a few nice priced winners.
A number of these will fit the data I use, but it is just that, data. As the race time approaches, you often realise the data is going to be wrong as the money is coming. The inside knowledge has done its work and they duly win.
Basic variance will average this out over the year but when you are in the slump its easy to get disheartened.
I need to look at Sunday's as these have proved a bit of a pitfall. Irish are the most difficult as the sport isn't particularly "clean" over there, with trainers taking their turn within a family clan and horses being laid out for owner gambles as the whole family will be there.
I won't be looking to drop Sundays per se, but more tightening up is required and if in doubt leave it out attitude taken.
Despite the last few days of bad results we remain in profit for the year and we still have 10 days to get this month back in the green or at least reduce that red.
When the site loses I lose, as i always go with my own selections and sometimes to a few more pounds.
If you feel the pain and disappointment of your members it can only make you work harder.
Onwards and forwards to a profitable summer on the flat.
