No Place To Hide

Simon Rigby

There is a sense of déjà vu with the start of this month mirroring the last.

We took hits then resulting in a loss of £350+ but managed to get it back.

We’ve taken bigger hits this week, but the loss is only £140.

No loss is ever good, but the Friday could have brought us to our knees if it isn’t a balanced view over the entire week.

I had been focusing on the runners of Pauling and Greenall a lot, but both these appear to have turned that corner and there won’t be such a blanket approach to opposing them in future.

Sometimes you have to put your hands up and acknowledge the Horse. Poker Face was a prime example. It took to Kempton very well and won that race emphatically. The assessment was wrong and whilst we lost, I didn’t feel cheated.

That can’t be said of the Dundalk results where it was a head and a neck that did us !!

This week starts off busier than expected and hopefully there’s a turnaround with the assessments running true.

The work continues and when the site loses, I lose personally as well, as I follow all the selections. So, it’s in my interest to get back on track. I won’t be hiding that’s for sure and the head will still be above the old parapet.
