Friday 8th November

Worst day we've had by far and only the late drift of Come On the Lads saved us from a bigger loss.

Fontwell was a day where my attendance was likely to be the kiss of death on the selections and it duly turned out that way. There's a lesson there.

In both cases there were horses that looked likely to challenge at the business end but they simply faded away.

I have to admit i'm getting dubious about some of the going reports as Fontwell certainly looked softer than the official Good/Soft.

We could hide away but we're sticking to the processes that have worked and move on to repair the damage from the start of the month.
